These three lessons give students a foundation to develop their surfing skills. We teach basic paddling, how to pop up, and how to ride a wave in to shore. Our goal is to help our students catch as many waves as the ocean will give us. When they learn to feel what it's like to catch and ride a wave, they will be better prepared as they learn to catch waves on their own.

Everybody learns at their own pace. One student might progress quickly, while another may start off slower on a path to literally becoming a pro. Our goal now is to help students begin to catch their own waves. So we work on reading the swell and where to position ourselves in the water, then we practice timing and paddling to independently begin riding our own waves.
When you decide to take surfing more seriously and want to make it a part of your life, this is what you shoot for. You get 10 lessons that take you through the beginning stages, then learning to catch your own waves, and now surfing side by side with your instructor who will demonstrate techniques and guide you to becoming a better surfer. After these lessons, you’ll be able to paddle out on your own to enjoy surfing at your own skill level.
